MCHRA Public Transit is the mass public transportation service of The Mid-Cumberland Human Resource Agency. Service is provided by 103+ vehicles in the 12 county Mid-Cumberland region. Originally, MCHRA Public Transit was the 60+ Senior Citizens Transit System. It has since developed into a full-fledged mass public transit system. However, MCHRA Public Transit still emphasizes its commitment to senior citizens and persons with disabilities. MCHRA is proud to have an 80% accessible fleet.
Nutritious meals are provided to help older persons maintain dignity, restore and maintain good health and remain in their homes as long as possible. Café style or home-delivered meals are provided along with outreach, nutrition education, supportive services and recreational activities.
provides or links eligible youth to the academic and financial help they need to receive a secondary school diploma or GED and prepares eligible youth for post-secondary educational and occupational opportunities. The ultimate outcome is for the participants to enter the workforce prepared on all levels.
