Nutritious meals are provided to help older persons maintain dignity, restore and maintain good health and remain in their homes as long as possible. Café style or home-delivered meals are provided along with outreach, nutrition education, supportive services and recreational activities.
As food is one of the most important elements in the strategy to keep people out of institutions, Meals-on-Wheels is a critical component in the nation's health and available funding.
