+ WIOA Youth Career Specialist–Southeast TN-Athens

This full time position involves determining eligibility of potential youth clients, completing paperwork on clients with extreme attention to detail and providing follow-up case management. This individual is responsible for providing intensive case management to eligible WIOA youth clients in their designated area. This performance based position hinges upon maintaining an adequate case load and the Career Specialist’s ability to assist clients in meeting their career and educational goals. A key component of this position involves the ability to utilize technology to accurately maintain client records and financial expenditures. Other duties of this position include assisting in the Welcome Function of the local American Job Center, engaging in community outreach activities, continuing education on WIOA legislation and other additional requirements as requested by the Career Services Manager. Some travel is required.

QUALIFICATIONS: • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Social Sciences or similar discipline preferred. • Advanced computer competency/literacy skills are required. • Applicants must have the ability to quickly learn computer software applications and follow directions in completing Career Specialist requirements • Ability to maintain professionalism and adapt in a rapidly changing atmosphere • Desire to make a positive impact in the workforce development of Southeast TN by working directly with local employers as well as diverse and low income populations

• This individual is responsible for data entry duties and program administrative functions. The position entails multiple job assignments and requires excellent interpersonal, data management, organizational, and communications skills.

QUALIFICATIONS: • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in related field and/or equivalent experience • Experience in and commitment to the field of workforce development and youth services • Excellence in oral, written, and computer-based communication skills • Excellence in organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Grant writing experience preferred • Excellence in computer software applications including word processing, data base management, graphic design, form development, and spreadsheets

Part-time position stationed at the Fairview Meals-On-Wheels site. Duties associated with the position include packing and serving meals, ensuring the cleanliness of the site, completing reports and other documentation, recruiting volunteers, ability to generate awareness and excitement in the community about the program to help in fundraising, daily paperwork, and outreach to the senior community. Other responsibilities include monitoring food temperature, completing in-home assessments, and participating in special events and functions. When necessary the applicant may deliver meals to homebound clients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED; clean background, driver’s license, reliable transportation, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task & prioritize job related activities, accuracy and attention to detail. Basic computer skills required and an interest in working with older adults.

+ Billing Specialist– Davidson Co

This position is responsible for administrative work involving the daily regional operations of a large multi-county public transit system operating in the Mid-Cumberland region of Tennessee. Activities associated with this position include assisting with the investigation and resolution of issues with in house and contractors billing. Additional duties include insuring compliance with existing policies and procedures regarding billing. Job responsibilities require good organizational skills, good interpersonal skills, and experience with Windows, Microsoft Office 2010 or newer, basic database knowledge and basic Microsoft Outlook abilities. Other duties as assigned. 40 hrs/week. EOE

+ In-Home Service Coordinator

The position involves the management of multi-county in-home services for eligible participants. The incumbent will be responsible for Quality Assurance and Improvement as well as in-home field assessments, reassessments and service plans. The incumbent must be able to provide oversight of daily operational aspects. Duties associated with the job include ensuring compliance with existing governing regulations as well as operational guidelines and policies/procedures. The incumbent will be responsible for creating and maintaining good working relationships with funding agencies, clients, staff, and the community at large. The incumbent may be responsible for recruitment, job assignment, evaluation, discipline, and scheduling as needed. The incumbent must possess significant organizational, interpersonal and decision-making skills for successful job performance. This position requires significant local regional travel and some on-call responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited four year college with a Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Work, HealthCare, Gerontology, Nursing or related field with at least twenty-one quarter hours in behavioral health, social work, psychology, sociology, or home economics required; experience in program management and supervising the activities of support staff; strong decision making and organizational skills; significant communication and interpersonal skills; experience monitoring budgets; or any equivalent combination of education or experience. Part-Time Positions are available in the following counties: Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Houston, Humphreys, Montgomery, Robertson, Rutherford, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Williamson, and Wilson. $10 case rate with work available during the day, evening, or weekend.

Duties include: Light housekeeping, Meal Preparation, Errands, Socialization, and Personal Care including bathing, toileting, dressing, feeding. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. Candidates must be able to follow instructions, communicate well, work independently, document work performed, have reliable transportation, proof of insurance, & a clean background check. CNA or previous experience working with elderly/disabled individuals or within the healthcare field is helpful but not required. EOE.
