Mid-Cumberland Human Resource Agency's In-Home Services provides essential services to elderly and disabled individuals within their own homes. Part-Time Positions are available in the following counties: Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Houston, Humphreys, Montgomery, Robertson, Rutherford, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Williamson, and Wilson. $10 case rate with work available during the day, evening, or weekend.

Duties include: Light housekeeping, Meal Preparation, Errands, Socialization, and Personal Care including bathing, toileting, dressing, feeding. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. Candidates must be able to follow instructions, communicate well, work independently, document work performed, have reliable transportation, proof of insurance, & a clean background check. CNA or previous experience working with elderly/disabled individuals or within the healthcare field is helpful but not required. EOE.


WIOA Career/Youth Specialist

Hiring for Rutherford & Davidson Counties.

This full time position involves determining eligibility of potential WIOA clients, completing paperwork on clients with extreme attention to detail and providing follow-up case management. This individual is responsible for providing intensive case management to eligible WIOA clients in their designated area. This performance based position hinges upon maintaining an adequate case load and the Career Specialists ability to assist clients in meeting their career and educational goals. A key component of this position involves the ability to utilize technology to accurately maintain client records and financial expenditures. Other duties of this position include assisting in the Welcome Function of the local American Job Center, engaging in community outreach activities, continuing education on WIOA legislation and other additional requirements as requested by the Regional One-Stop Coordinator. Some travel is required.

QUALIFICATIONS: • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Social Sciences or similar discipline preferred. Equivalent experience in the field of human services and/or direct experience in working with the WIOA program will be considered in lieu of degree

• Advanced computer competency/literacy skills are required.

• Applicants must have the ability to quickly learn computer software applications and follow directions in completing Career Specialist requirements

• Ability to maintain professionalism and adapt in a rapidly changing atmosphere

• Desire to make a positive impact in the workforce development of the Upper Cumberland by working directly with local employers as well as diverse/low-income populations.

RURAL TRANSPORTATION COORDINATOR--

Responsible for coordination of rural transportation planning. Assists in development and review of guidelines for coordination of land use and transportation decisions. Provides technical assistance, coordinates rural transportation initiatives, and serves as a liaison with local government officials and TDOT for Cheatham, Dickson, Houston, Humphreys, and Stewart Counties.

B.A. or B.S. degree in Business Admin, Urban or Regional Planning, Public Admin, Geography, Transportation, or related field; experience in transportation planning and program management; GIS, helpful but not required. Training is available for entry level professional that is self-motivated and possesses strong communication and organizational skills.

Community Corrections Case Officer--

The position is located out of the Dickson County Office and involves the supervision and monitoring of non-violent felony offenders who have been released from incarceration and assigned to house arrest through the Community Corrections Program for Hickman & Dickson County. Activities associated with this position include direct supervision through home and office visits, establishing needed supportive services, and maintaining the documentation necessary to comply with program policies and procedures. Additional activities include providing testimony in court, assisting with electronic monitoring, collection of fees, and maintaining case management database. Job responsibilities require experience in community corrections, law enforcement, or related field. E.O.E.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

•Graduation with a minimum of an Associate’s Degree and 2 years related work experience. Four year degree preferred in Criminal Justice, Social/Behavioral Sciences, or closely related field. Four years work experience will be considered if it is in a related field.

•Experience in criminal court proceedings and working with felony offenders; ability to follow program procedures and make appropriate decisions.

•Strong interpersonal, decision making, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain detailed and confidential information.
