This full time position involves determining eligibility of potential clients, completing paperwork on clients with extreme attention to detail and providing follow-up case management. This individual is responsible for providing intensive case management to eligible WIOA clients in their designated area. This performance based position hinges upon maintaining an adequate case load and the Career Specialist’s ability to assist clients in meeting their career and educational goals. A key component of this position involves the ability to utilize technology to accurately maintain client records and financial expenditures. Other duties of this position include assisting in the Welcome Function of the local American Job Center, engaging in community outreach activities, continuing education on WIOA legislation and other additional requirements as requested by the Career Services Manager. Some travel is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Employment Coordinator– Southwest Region, TN

This full time position involves developing potential worksites for Mid-Cumberland WorkForce Services program participants as well as managing the Title V Program. This includes developing long-term, subsidized worksites in nonprofit organizations throughout Southwest TN as well as Paid Work Experience sites for youth participants. Under the direction of the Career Services Manager, the Employment Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of programs and services, including worksite development and participant supervision. Performance is reviewed on a continuous basis with specific goals and objectives identified throughout the year. This individual is responsible for providing case management to eligible Title V participants, (aged 55 and up,) in a designated area. Additional duties of this position involves the ability to utilize technology to accurately maintain client records and financial expenditures. Other duties of this position include monitoring the training sites to ensure procedures are being followed, engaging with local businesses to assist in placement of participants and marketing the Title V and Title I youth program. A key component of this position involves fostering a relationship with local chamber of commerce’s, businesses and partner organizations. This position covers a multi-county area in Southwest TN, and travel to and from participant worksites is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

+ One-Stop Operator for WorkForce Services– Southwest Region, TN

This individual is responsible for coordinating and providing formal and functional supervision to American Job Center Staff and partner programs. A major component of this position involves creating staffing plans, ensuring coordination of partner programs and providing means to meet common operational needs for the American Job Centers (8) throughout the Southwest Tennessee Local Workforce Development Area. This position works under the direction of the Operations Manager and is responsible for the timely completion of required paperwork for Mid-Cumberland Workforce Services, the Local Workforce Development Board and the State of Tennessee. Meticulous attention to detail must be given to all paperwork, forms and training development materials.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college/university in Human Services or related field

• Excellence in oral, written, and computer-based communication skills

• Ability to utilize technology to enhance the range and quality of workforce development services to job seekers and businesses of the Local Workforce Development Area

+ Career Services Manager, WorkForce Services – Southwest Region, TN

This is a responsible supervisor position involving field operations for the Mid-Cumberland WorkForce Services Program established through Career Services of Title I under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and additional career service programs managed through Mid-Cumberland WorkForce Services. Activities associated with the job include office management and working directly with clients participating in MCWFS programs, in accordance with the policies and procedures to ensure compliance with program regulations and policies as established under WIOA and Mid-Cumberland Human Resource Agency. Responsibilities include investigating local educational and training programs towards the goals of career development and employment; interacting with personnel from funding agencies; and, if requested by the Operations Manager, attending contractor’s meetings, and conferences. The Career Services Manager will be responsible for oversight of County Career Specialists and programs under Mid-Cumberland WorkForce Services in the Southwest Tennessee Region.

The position involves the management of multi-county in-home services for eligible participants. The incumbent will be responsible for Quality Assurance and Improvement as well as in-home field assessments, reassessments and service plans. The incumbent must be able to provide oversight of daily operational aspects. Duties associated with the job include ensuring compliance with existing governing regulations as well as operational guidelines and policies/procedures. The incumbent will be responsible for creating and maintaining good working relationships with funding agencies, clients, staff, and the community at large. The incumbent may be responsible for recruitment, job assignment, evaluation, discipline, and scheduling as needed. The incumbent must possess significant organizational, interpersonal and decision-making skills for successful job performance. This position requires significant local regional travel and some on-call responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited four year college with a Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Work, HealthCare, Gerontology, Nursing or related field with at least twenty-one quarter hours in behavioral health, social work, psychology, sociology, or home economics required; experience in program management and supervising the activities of support staff; strong decision making and organizational skills; significant communication and interpersonal skills; experience monitoring budgets; or any equivalent combination of education or experience. Duties include: Light housekeeping, Meal Preparation, Errands, Socialization, and Personal Care including bathing, toileting, dressing, feeding. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. Candidates must be able to follow instructions, communicate well, work independently, document work performed, have reliable transportation, proof of insurance, & a clean background check. CNA or previous experience working with elderly/disabled individuals or within the healthcare field is helpful but not required. EOE.
