Mid-Cumberland Human Resource Agency's In-Home Services provides essential services to elderly and disabled individuals within their own homes. Part-Time Positions are available in the following counties: Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Houston, Humphreys, Montgomery, Robertson, Rutherford, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Williamson, and Wilson. $10 case rate with work available during the day, evening, or weekend.

Duties include: Light housekeeping, Meal Preparation, Errands, Socialization, and Personal Care including bathing, toileting, dressing, feeding. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. Candidates must be able to follow instructions, communicate well, work independently, document work performed, have reliable transportation, proof of insurance, & a clean background check. CNA or previous experience working with elderly/disabled individuals or within the healthcare field is helpful but not required. EOE.


WIOA Career/Youth Specialist--

Hiring for Rutherford & Davidson Counties.

This full time position involves determining eligibility of potential WIOA clients, completing paperwork on clients with extreme attention to detail and providing follow-up case management. This individual is responsible for providing intensive case management to eligible WIOA clients in their designated area. This performance based position hinges upon maintaining an adequate case load and the Career Specialists ability to assist clients in meeting their career and educational goals. A key component of this position involves the ability to utilize technology to accurately maintain client records and financial expenditures. Other duties of this position include assisting in the Welcome Function of the local American Job Center, engaging in community outreach activities, continuing education on WIOA legislation and other additional requirements as requested by the Regional One-Stop Coordinator. Some travel is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduation froman accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Social Sciences or similar discipline preferred. Equivalent experience in the field of human services and/or direct experience in working with the WIOA program will be considered in lieu of degree

• Advanced computer competency/literacy skills are required.

• Applicants must have the ability to quickly learn computer software applications and follow directions in completing Career Specialist requirements

• Ability to maintain professionalism and adapt in a rapidly changing atmosphere

• Desire to make a positive impact in the workforce development of the Upper Cumberland by working directly with local employers as well as diverse/low-income populations.

Community Corrections Case Officer--

The position is located out of the Gallatin Office and involves the supervision and monitoring of non-violent felony offenders who have been released from incarceration and assigned to house arrest through the Community Corrections Program for Sumner County. Activities associated with this position include direct supervision through home and office visits, establishing needed supportive services, and maintaining the documentation necessary to comply with program policies and procedures. Additional activities include providing testimony in court, assisting with electronic monitoring, collection of fees, and maintaining case management database. Job responsibilities require experience in community corrections, law enforcement, or related field. E.O.E.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

•Graduation with a minimum of an Associate’s Degree and 2 years related work experience. Four year degree preferred in Criminal Justice, Social/Behavioral Sciences, or closely related field. Four years work experience will be considered if it is in a related field.

•Experience in criminal court proceedings and working with felony offenders; ability to follow program procedures and make appropriate decisions.

•Strong interpersonal, decision making, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain detailed and confidential information.

Surveillance Officer Part Time--

The position involves the supervision and monitoring of non-violent felony offenders who have been released from incarceration and assigned to house arrest through the Community Corrections Program in Dickson, Cheatham, Hickman & Humphreys County. Activities associated with this position include performing home checks on offenders sentenced to the program. Additional activities may include providing testimony in court, assisting with electronic monitoring, supervising drug tests. Job responsibilities require experience in community corrections, law enforcement, or related field. This position will be part time out of the Dickson County Office area. E.O.E.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from an accredited high school, College degree preferred but not required or 4 years related work experience; experience with offenders, a valid driver’s license is required. Strong Organizational & Communication Skills are a plus;

Employment Coordinator-- Putnam County

This full time position involves developing potential worksites for Mid Cumberland WorkForce Services program participants as well as managing the Title V program. This includes developing long-term, subsidized worksites in nonprofit organizations throughout the Upper Cumberland as well as Paid Work Experience sites for youth participants. Under the direction of the Regional One-Stop Manager, the Employment Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of programs and services, including worksite development, participant supervision and contract administration of various economic development programs. Performance is reviewed on a continuous basis with specific goals and objectives identified throughout the year. This individual is responsible for providing case management to eligible Title V participants, (aged 55 and up,) in a designated area. This position hinges upon ensuring that participants are meeting their training goals and are assisted in gaining unsubsidized employment following the completion of their training. A key component of this position involves the ability to utilize technology to accurately maintain client records and financial expenditures. Additional requirements of this position involves, completing paperwork on clients with extreme attention to detail and providing follow-up case management. Other duties of this position include monitoring the training sites to ensure procedures are being followed, engaging with local businesses to assist in placement of participants and marketing the Title V and Title I youth program. This position covers a multi-county area in the Upper Cumberland, and travel to and from participant worksites is required.

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Business, Social Sciences or similar discipline required

• Advanced computer competency/literacy skills are preferred

• Applicants must have the ability to quickly learn computer software applications and follow directions in completing Title V / TDOL requirements

• Experience in developing relationships with local businesses and community contacts is preferred

• Desire to make a positive impact in the workforce development of the Upper Cumberland by working directly with local employers as well as elderly and low income populations
